Hi WWCrissy – condiments allowed are salt, pepper, and fresh or dried herbs and spices – no sauces. These are full of sugar and dextrose and other rubbish that we avoid!
Hope this helps

You don’t have to. Exercise is a great thing to do for many reasons (fitness, heart health, a feeling of well being etc), but the only bad reason to exercise (in my view) is to try to create a calorie deficit. The body will just respond to that with hunger and you are likely to eat in 1 minute what took you an hour to use up!
Do anything you enjoy in moderation would be my advice.

Are you supposed to incorporate any exercises?

I hate fish,I vomit every time I take a bite.

ZoeHarcombe February 4, 2010 at 4:07 pm

Ginger yes, soy sauce no – it is one of the most common food intolerances and usually has sugar, wheat and other unnecessary ingredients

wow thanks so much for replying so quickly..im usually not into buying diet books but because of your obvious caring of your clients yours might be my first :)
thank you!

Hi there – you can season with salt, but it’s never a good idea to overdo salt. You may need to stick to boiled eggs. The diet and recipe book have loads of quick options for scrambled eggs, omelettes etc (without milk) but there’s sadly not enough room here.
On the rice – no oil – just boiled in water. Oil is for stir-frying veg and for salad dressing – not to be mixed with brown rice
Enjoy the wedding!

ZoeHarcombe February 4, 2010 at 7:45 pm

Hi there – it’s the healthiest diet I can think of as there is no starving, no processed food – just plenty of real, healthy food that will rid you of 3 conditions that cause food cravings
Good luck!

hey Zoe, i just wanted to ask,im 150 pounds and 20 yrs old, would this diet be safe for me to try,i am healthy and just want to get back to 130 and I think this diet could really help me get there, thanks!

ZoeHarcombe February 4, 2010 at 8:53 pm

1) that is rude and 2) don’t listen! I’m trying to provide a lot of information for people (for free) which takes a lot of my time and a lot of people seem to appreciate it. If you don’t – good luck finding something else. But this does work…

kittygobark1 February 4, 2010 at 9:01 pm

i’m so sorry, but i cant stand this ladys voice. not to be rude, honestly, but her voice just makes me want to punch a toddler in the face.

Hi there – this kind of query is almost impossible to deal with via youtube – I can get into this kind of thing with clients – your history, how much you have to lose, what could be causing a plateau etc. Give it time – eating less absolutely does NOT work – eating better is the only way to sustained weight loss. Check out face book / theharcombediet for inspiration if you like – loads of people there are down several stone despite having had brief plateaus. Hope this helps!

ZoeHarcombe February 4, 2010 at 9:23 pm

Hi there – not in the first 5 days – it’s meat/fish/eggs/natural live yoghurt/veg (not potatoes or mushrooms)/salads/ & 50g brown rice per day only in Phase 1!
Best wishes – Zoe

sophiavanilla February 4, 2010 at 9:35 pm

Hey (again)!
Just wondering if beans are allowed in phase 1? Such as cannellini, kidney, butter beans etc, without sauce just as they are, as these are a large part of my diet as I eat only poultry and fish.
Many thanks!

ZoeHarcombe February 4, 2010 at 10:27 pm

Hi Brian – this is where you’ll need the book! Milk is OK in Phase 2 – but only if you’re not intolerant to it (the books talks through the 3 conditions causing food cravings and health problems and food intolerance is one of them).
No to diet drinks – the sweetener question is
the #1 asked question of The Harcombe Diet – so it’s on the FAQ page of my web site theharcombediet.
No to processed burgers/food – you need to eat real food, as nature delivers it.
Hope this helps!
Best wishes – Zoe
